Where Adam Fell Music Video

Hey guys we have some more big news coming up that is pretty exciting and we are stoked.

First of all, we have a new music video coming out on Monday. It will be available on our Facebook page. It's for a new single we're releasing called "Where Adam Fell." Look for it and if you like it go ahead and help us out by sending to your pals.

After all, what bonds friends better than good music?

Secondly, we are entered in Muse Music's Battle of the Bands in Provo on...wait for it.... Friday the 13th. Winner of the competition gets a nice big prize that means... merchandise for our fans. That's right. Of any money we make at gigs or battle of the bands, a big chunk of it is gonna go back to you guys. So please come out and support! We could use the help.
That's all for now. We'll let you know as new stuff comes up.

We Need Your Help!

So I'm sure you all thought that we were just about dead, but we've just super busy lately!
We all had a great Christmas and just finished playing an awesome concert at Muse Music with Benyaro from New York City. It was awesome to play with a touring band like that.

Which brings us to our request. Currently we are in a competition to open for Parachute in Salt Lake City. We need everyone to go vote for our music video on topblip.com. We are already in the top ten for the competition which is awesome. We have a shot at this if we can just hit it hard and we can only do it with your help.

Just to tug at your heartstrings a little bit here, Kevin is going Brazil, and Jared is going to Alaska for two years to give away a special type of insurance. We won't see them for two years and this could be an excellent way to send them off from the band. It's really easy, all you have to do is go to http://www.topblip.com/tour/saltlakecity, click on our band in the top ten (it's our video for three strong men) and vote us five stars! Then tell your friends! Share us on facebook, email, call your grandma, whatever you do we will be so appreciative.

Making music doesn't always pay off, it's a lot of hard work and there are always critics trying to shut you down, help us show them that a little family band, if they're good, really can make it just like the old days.

Thanks guys.
Just. Go. Here. to topblip.com

Rockin the Velour

Success story at Velour Live Music Gallery!
We had an incredible concert this past week as we got to play alongside J.Wride, Jenna Baker and the Young Electric. We had a few hundred people come out and they packed Velour!

This University Life debuted some of the features on their online radio station. You can check it out here.
www.thisuniversitylife.com

Kalood was really generous to get involved and be able to sponsor the concert. We are good friends with Kalood's founder too, we will plug it for him right here if you guys want to check it out.
www.kalood.com

Highlights from the concert were Kevin's furious tambourine solo:

We were also just incredibly pleased to see a great crowd come out. We'll share a pic with you so you can see just how awesome it was.

If you guys want to go check out more pictures just click the link below to get to our buddy and photographer Nash Allen's blog.

If you didn't get a chance to come out it's a real shame you missed a great show.
But don't worry. We got more stuff coming at you.

Mark your calendars for November 5th at Muse Music. It's happening.

Fun fact: This past week's tambourine solo was inspired by a malfunctioning ukulele pickup. We couldn't find out what was wrong with it so with a determined look in his eye, Kevin was determined to walk into percussive glory.

Tip my hat to you Kevin.

Dogs, Pizzas, Burgers and a Beautiful Place

Sorry we missed the blog last week! Here are some updates with what has been going on lately.

So Battle of the Bands was absolutely awesome! We had a pretty good turn out a little over a hundred people in total. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and our crowd got to sit on this excellent lawn with incredible weather for a night of great entertainment. There were six bands that played and Baldwin Games placed third overall.

GUILT TRIP TIME: The winner received $1200 worth of promotional prizes. We placed third and the judging was based on the crowd cheering decibel level. The top three bands were so close on the decibel meter that less than a decibel decided the winner from the other two. That means if we had just like two more Baldwin Games fans there we would have taken home the first place prize.

That being said we would like to special shout out to all our friends that did make it out! We hope the rest of you can come next time.

Speaking of next time, we are all geared up for the next concert. This Thursday at Velour Music in Provo for FREE we are doing our second concert. Below is a link to the new event!

Also if anybody wants to see pictures from the Battle of the Bands go check NRA photography. Here is the link below!

We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

Things just keep picking up don't they!

So we have some awesome stuff coming up. This week's blog might be a little to do list for you fans.

We're scheduled to film the first Baldwin Games web spot next Saturday. It should be up online the week of the This University Life-Kalood concert.

Jared Meek is officially integrated into the band. Check out his introduction video we put up on our Youtube channel or on the Facebook group.

The Battle of the Bands is fast approaching and we need all the support we can get! Sep 19th, come with your friends, get JDawgs and pizza with your ticket and help support the homeless of Utah County.

Promotion is really starting to get under way for the concert on the 29th too. It's going to be awesome! Velour Music, free concert, doors open at 6:45, tell all your friends.

Also keep your eyes out for some Baldwin Games press spots. Particularly in the Daily Universe, The UVU Review and the Daily Herald.

We have a new single coming out soon called Out of Place. It should also be going up hopefully the week of the Kalood concert.

Sorry there isn't a bunch of new stuff going on yet. We're going to have some good stuff for you guys coming really soon though

Special Fact of the Day: Tomorrow Baldwin Games is getting interviewed for a news article for the first time. Press spots yeah!

Another Week DOWN! *Special shout-out to the late Crocodile Hunter.... I miss that guy*

So we definitely have some more really fun and interesting developments going on this week.

First off: we are more excited than ever for the Battle of the Bands coming up on the 19th! We just wanted to reiterate that food is included with the purchase of a ticket is free JDawgs! Also this BOTB is to support an awesome charity. All proceeds go to the homeless of Utah County. So there ya go. Be charitable, hear awesome music, support your favorite band and get free food all for five dollars. Talk about a great date night. Go check out the facebook page for more details.

Next, things have been finalized for our concert on the 29th at Velour. It is FREE, that's right absolutely free and we're hitting it up with Jenna Baker, j.wride and the young electric. The concert is meant to kick off This University Life radio and it's sponsored by local business kalood.com (which if you live in Utah County you should definitely check out by the way). It's going to be an incredible night and we'll be hosting an "Eat with Baldwin Games" fan contest. More details to come

We've also been so excited to have our first honorary Baldwin Jared Meek starting up with us. He's going to fit in really nice. Look for him in upcoming band photos and videos!

We are also looking for people interested in being in some Baldwin Games publicity videos. (That's right, not used to a band doing that are ya?) They're basically just gonna be some funny videos that we can use to help promote Baldwin Games. If you love to act or you love to make movies drop us a line a baldwingames@gmail.com!

Additionally we are starting to decide on band merchandise. We are going to do T-shirts and ring tones and all that typical stuff, but we want your input (blog reader exclusive question here) on some really cool unique item that would just be awesome to have the Baldwin Games shield on it. It could be like a cell phone cover, a hat, a pillow case.... you name it, but we want some cool suggestions. Lets see who has the best one.

Another thing. For anyone who wants to be on our street team we are welcoming people with open arms! (street teams will help us get our name and music out) Clearly street team members will be given some special privileges. email us if you're interested!

I think that's it for this week!
Fun fact of the day: The first idea for the band name was This Is Baldwin, which we got after watching that famous scene from 300. It didn't stick because it's just kind of awkward to shout at concerts.... although we wouldn't mind if you ever did.

This Week Has Been Crazy!

Hey everybody this Baldwin Games, sorry we're a day late on the blog. This past week has been really fun.

Firstly, Kevin returned from his trip home to California which means we can start going forward again. It's always fun playing with the band after a break like that because it's like a little piece of you becomes alive all over again.

And alive we are.... we are happy to announce our first ever live performance! It turns out a while ago Nate signed up for a Battle of the Bands. In the meantime Baldwin Games formed and started to take off. So when he got a reminder email from the BOTB people it was just a golden opportunity. So there it is:

Baldwin Games is competing in Battle of the Bands at the Provo Food and Care Coalition.
Admission is $5 per person and includes your choice of hot dog, hamburger, or pizza. Food will be provided by J-Dawgs and Lucky's Wood Fire Pizza. All proceeds go to helping the homeless of Utah County.
September 19, 6:30-9:00 PM.
299 E 900 South Provo Utah.

Attendance is a huge factor in winning these things so we want all of you there!

Another date for your calendars: Our first concert, (besides the BOTB) is looking like it's gonna be on the 29th of September (thursday night, the preweekend!!) at Velour Music. We're still working on the bill but it's looking awesome.

Anyway, thats what we've got for you this week!

go check us out on reverb nation too!

Fun band fact of the day: Originally "You're Not Out of Place" Baldwin Games' upcoming new single was written as an acapella song. Started singing through it though and the beat took over. Too good.
